Changes to spouse/ Partner visa minimum income requirements from 11th of April
In lieu with the series of changes to the immigration rules announced on the 4th of Dec 2023, the income requirements to bring the spouse /partner or children of a British citizens and settled residents in UK will increase in three stages. Currently the financial requirement under appendix FM dependents is a Gross Annual salary of £18,600.
The income threshold will increase from £18,600 to £29,000 from 11th April 2024. This will then rise to £35,500 and the last phase of £38,700 that will come in to force in the early 2025. On the contrary, there will be no additional income requirement for the children.
This rule will affect the individuals who are looking to bring their families after 11th April 2024.
Who is not affected?
Those individuals who are already in the five year partner route can continue to extend or settle with the previous income requirement of £18, 600. This is also applicable for the dependent child seeking to join or accompany their parent in UK.
